GEO Missions & Systems Engineer

My client, a long established provider of satellites for various space missions is seeking a Systems Engineer for their internal GEO programme.

Based in Guildford, the GEO Missions and Systems Engineer will be responsible for:-

" Systems level design of GEO space systems " Business Line Engineer for the client's internal GEO programme

Spacecraft Operations Engineer (Data Handling Subsystems) Sentinel-3

My client, an established provider of software in both the UK & Germany to the Defence and Space industries is looking to recruit a Spacecraft Operations Engineer for their base in Darmstadt, Germany.

Tasks:

This Spacecraft Operations Engineering position will be initially assigned to the Sentinel-3 mission during the preparation phase, and required to support the SOM during the pre-launch operations preparation, validation and the Launch and Operations phases of the assigned mission with:

" SVT preparation, " Mission Control System Validation, " Mission Planning System and interfaces validation " Simulator Validation, " Training and Simulations, " Operations Preparation " LEOP & Commissioning Preparation, " Conduct satellite operations on-line and off-line, " Support to the Sentinel Projects during the satellite design phase More specifically, the functions to be primarily covered are: On the satellite side: " Data Handling, on-board software and OBSM systems operations engineer " Be the backup engineer of another satellite subsystem (which one will depend on the person's qualification and experience). On the ground segment side: " Provide assistance to the SOMs initially for the requirements definition and later for the design and implementation of the Flight Operations Segment. " Monitoring the implementation, validating and being the focal point within the Sentinels Flight Control Team for the Mission Control System, in particular for what concerns the Operational Database Editor and the PUS tailoring.

In addition to the tasks on Sentinel-3, assistance for other Sentinels and EO missions in preparation by the Division will be required for the same type of activities.

Senior Power Engineer

My client, a provider of satellites and spacecraft solutions, is looking for a Senior Power Engineer to be based out of their offices in Surrey.

Key Purpose of Job To support the design, production and test of power systems and associated test hardware. Key Tasks Primary role will be Power System Responsible Engineer for a specific mission.

Typical duties for this role include: · Budget and schedule responsibility of power system production · Evaluation of mission power requirements and top-level system design. · Circuit level design where required. · Component selection. · Schematic capture and coordination of PCB design. · Management of power system production/assembly. · Power system test (bench, environmental and spacecraft level tests) · Authoring of technical documents (including test procedures, reports and technical descriptions). In addition to the primary role, other responsibilities will include: · Development of circuits for future missions. · Interaction with customers.

Software Engineers

My client, an established supplier of software, engineering and information systems to the ESA and Defence/Aerospace industry are looking for 2 experienced Software Engineers to assist in the development of the BepiColombo onboard software (ESA’s mission to Mercury).

The company has several immediate openings for senior and intermediate satellite operations engineers with satellite operation experience. You will be joining the existing team of twenty engineers and operators, responsible for the operation of the entire system, including space and ground segments.

Senior Operation Systems Support Engineer

Position Summary

This position will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the approved NMS/OSS strategy in an ongoing basis, including but not limited to user training, user requirements for enhancements of current and future toolsets, NMS utilization reporting requirements such as Infovista and Cacti, NMS change control, and level 2 Operations' support for selected Operations' systems such as VECS (occasional use RF access system) and Glowlink carrier management system, Netcracker, and Element Management Systems (EMS).  This position will also coordinate all internal and external functions/parties, serve as the primary point-of-contact in coordinating design projects and schedules as required, provide Level 3 ongoing support and maintenance, participate in On-Call activities and provide technical resolutions for escalated operational issues.

Senior Network Cabling Technician

Position Summary

The Senior Network Cabling Technician will be responsible for providing GXS/NGN network maintenance and infrastructure support. This includes data/video/RF/optical cable design, manufacture and tests, on-site PoP and teleport cabling support. Provide logistics support for NGN/GXS optical equipment which include documentation and shipping, RMA support, maintaining cables/connectors and equipment inventories. Provide expert cable design, manufacturing and installation support to departments within Network Engineering.

Program Manager

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide project management support to spacecraft specific programs from concept through proposal, contract execution, and finally through end of operational lifetime.  The incumbent will support proposal generation for both spacecraft payload and complex communications networks during pre-sales phase and will ensure customer and operational support requirement are met during the construction phase.  During the operations phase, he/she will be responsible for the successful achievement of all program requirements within cost, schedule and technical constraints as well as customer communications and customer satisfaction.
